About
A modern record system for a modern university.
The British University in Egypt (BUE) was founded in 2005 as Egypt's flagship British-style university, awarding both Egyptian and validated UK degrees. The Student Record System (SRS) is the digital backbone that ties the institution together — from a prospective applicant's first click to an alumnus opening a verified transcript twenty years later.
Our institution
Located in El Sherouk City and serving over 12,000 students, BUE delivers programmes across 13 faculties with awards validated by partner universities in the United Kingdom.
What the SRS does
It unifies admissions, registry, academics, finance, careers, alumni engagement, analytics and integrations behind a single bilingual portal — securely, accessibly and at scale.
Why we built it
To replace fragmented spreadsheets and ageing tools with a single source of truth that staff trust, students enjoy using and regulators can audit.
Who it serves
Applicants, students, faculty, advisors, registry, finance, IT, alumni, employers and the UK partner — each with a tailored portal and the data they need.
Our principles
- Security first. Every feature ships only after meeting the BUE-SEC baseline.
- Accessible by default. WCAG 2.2 AA, full keyboard navigation and screen-reader support across every portal.
- Open data. Standard exports for MOHE, joint UK partner reporting and custom analytics.
- Human in the loop. AI assists; humans decide. Predictions are always advisory.
